This Privacy Policy is a launch-ready draft for LocalBrag. It should be reviewed by counsel before public launch and updated with the correct legal entity, address, subprocessors, and jurisdiction-specific notices.
1. Overview
LocalBrag helps local service businesses turn real work photos and project details into reviewable Google Business Profile content. To provide the service, we process account data, workspace settings, project content, Google Business Profile data, billing status, and technical usage data.
We do not sell Google user data. We do not use Google user data for advertising, retargeting, credit-worthiness decisions, or unrelated surveillance.
2. Data we collect
Depending on how you use LocalBrag, we may collect:
- Account data, such as your name, email address, avatar, Google account identifier, session status, and workspace membership.
- Business settings, such as organization name, service category, tone preferences, service keywords, and selected Google Business Profile location.
- Project content, such as uploaded photos, thumbnails, project titles, service type, highlights, service date, service area, generated drafts, edited copy, and publication status.
- Google Business Profile data, such as connected accounts, locations, reviews, review replies, review links, local post identifiers, and sync status.
- Billing status, such as Paddle customer and subscription identifiers, trial status, credit balances, purchase records, payment method type, card brand, and last four card digits when available.
- Technical data, such as device/browser information, IP-derived logs, request metadata, errors, audit events, security logs, and product usage events.
3. Google data and Limited Use
LocalBrag uses Google Sign-In to authenticate you and may request Google Business Profile permissions so you can connect a business account, choose a location, sync reviews, prepare review replies, generate review links, and publish approved local posts.
Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We use Google data only to provide or improve user-facing LocalBrag features that are visible in the product, to protect the service, to comply with law, or with your consent where required.
We do not transfer Google user data to advertising platforms, data brokers, information resellers, or third parties for unrelated marketing. Humans do not read your Google user data except where you ask for support, where it is necessary for security or abuse review, where required by law, or where the data has been aggregated for internal operations.
You may disconnect LocalBrag from Google Business Profile in the dashboard or revoke access through your Google account. Revocation may stop publishing, review sync, review links, and related Google-powered features.
4. Photos, metadata, and AI
LocalBrag may process photos and photo metadata to help confirm project date, time, and service-area context. The product is designed to use city, neighborhood, or service-area language rather than publishing precise residential addresses in generated copy.
We may create compressed thumbnails for project lists and keep project package data so you can return to Published, Overview, and related dashboard screens. You are responsible for removing sensitive details from photos and text before publishing.
LocalBrag may send project details, selected settings, and relevant content to AI services such as Vertex AI or similar providers to generate drafts or run content checks. AI output is a suggestion, and you remain responsible for review and approval.
5. Billing data
Paddle may act as the Merchant of Record and payment processor for LocalBrag purchases. Paddle collects and processes payment details, billing addresses, tax information, invoices, receipts, refund requests, chargebacks, and related compliance data under its own buyer terms and privacy notices.
LocalBrag receives limited billing information from Paddle, such as customer identifiers, subscription status, transaction status, credit pack purchases, payment method type, card brand, and card last four digits when available. We do not store full card numbers.
6. Local storage and cookies
LocalBrag may use secure cookies for authentication and browser storage for product experience, including preserving upload drafts so partially completed project forms are not lost when you navigate away or refresh. Browser-stored drafts may remain on your device until you clear them or start a new project.
7. How we use data
We use data to:
- Authenticate users and maintain secure sessions.
- Operate the dashboard, subscriptions, project credits, and access controls.
- Generate, save, publish, and display project packages.
- Connect to Google Business Profile, sync locations and reviews, and publish approved posts.
- Provide support, troubleshoot issues, prevent fraud, enforce policies, and improve reliability.
- Comply with applicable law, tax, payment, accounting, security, and platform obligations.
9. Retention and deletion
We keep data for as long as needed to provide the service, maintain billing and audit records, comply with law, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, prevent abuse, and support product operations. Retention periods may vary by data type.
You may request deletion of your LocalBrag account or workspace data by contacting support. Some records may be retained where necessary for payment, tax, legal, security, backup, or fraud-prevention purposes.
10. Your choices
You can update workspace settings in the dashboard, disconnect Google Business Profile, revoke Google OAuth access through Google, clear local browser drafts, cancel subscriptions, and contact support to request access, correction, deletion, or export where applicable.
If you are in a jurisdiction with specific privacy rights, you may have rights to know, access, correct, delete, restrict, object, or appeal certain decisions. We will respond to valid requests as required by applicable law.
11. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect data in transit and at rest. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Please protect your Google account, use appropriate business accounts, and contact us if you suspect unauthorized access.
